Job Specifications

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -

• Cumulative period of six (6) years’ relevant work experience three (3) of which should have been in the grade Internal Auditor I or in a comparable position;
• Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields: - Finance, Accounting, Commerce (Finance/Accounting Option), Business Administration (Finance Option/Accounting), Business Management (Finance/Accounting Option) or equivalent qualification from a recognized and accredited institution;
• Certified Public Accountants (CPA-K) or equivalent qualification from a recognized and accredited institution;
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA);
• CISA or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution where applicable;
• Member of Institute of Internal Auditors Kenya (IIA) or any other relevant professional body where applicable and in good standing;
• Proficiency in computer applications; and
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 72

Level of Education: bachelor degree

• Certificate of good conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI);
• Dully filled and stamped Self-Declaration/Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC); and
• Clearance certificate from approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
