Key Responsibilities
- Freight & Logistics Management
- Negotiate competitive freight rates (air, ocean, parcel, domestic).
- Manage carrier contracts to ensure cost efficiency and service reliability.
- Monitor freight markets and resolve shipment delays proactively.
- Market Intelligence & Forecasting
- Track global commodity markets (edible oils, raw materials, plastics), including price trends and risk factors.
- Prepare dashboards and provide short- and long-term market forecasts for management.
- Strategic Procurement
- Identify optimal buying windows and recommend cost-effective purchasing strategies.
- Explore bulk/forward contracts and global sourcing options to reduce cost and ensure supply continuity.
- Supplier & Risk Management
- Develop and manage international supplier networks.
- Negotiate commercial terms and consolidate volumes for better leverage.
- Assess supply chain risks and implement mitigation or hedging strategies while ensuring policy compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Agriculture, Food Technology, or related field.
- Strong experience in the inbound and outbound logistics which includes LCL, FCL, ocean, air, parcel.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in freight management, procurement, trading, commodity analysis, or sourcing.
- Strong experience in the edible oil sector (CPO, olein, stearine, PFAD, etc.)-trading or procurement.
