Our client, a reputable international NGO, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Manager to provide strategic leadership across Environment, Climate Resilience, and Community-Based Development programs. This is a senior-level role focused on strengthening evidence-based decision-making, ensuring measurable program results, and embedding a strong learning culture across multi-donor interventions, including programs supported by FCDO, European Union, and IKEA Foundation.

The Role

The Senior MEL Manager will lead the design and implementation of organization-wide MEL strategy, including theories of change, logframes, performance measurement plans, data quality assurance processes, evaluations, dashboards, and learning reviews. The role will ensure strong donor accountability through high-quality reporting and compliance, contribute to proposal development with robust MEL approaches and indicators, and support adaptive management across climate and resilience portfolios. The position will also focus on building MEL capacity across program teams and implementing partners, including mentoring and supervising MEL staff.

Required Experience

Applicants should hold a Master’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Economics, Environmental Studies, Development Studies, or a related field, with at least 8–10 years of progressive MEL experience in NGO or donor-funded environments, including leadership of complex, multi-year programs. Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential.
