Our client, in the financial sector, is seeking to recruit suitably qualified, experienced, result-oriented and highly motivated Kenyans to fill the following vacant position.
Responsibilities or duties
- Maintaining office diary, appointments and travel itineraries.
- Managing office protocol and etiquette.
- Preparing responses to routine correspondence.
- Taking oral dictation.
- Using e-office to research and process data.
- Operating office equipment.
- Attending to visitors/clients.
- Handling telephone calls.
- Handling customer inquiries and complaints; coordinating schedules of meetings and appointments.
- Coordinating travel arrangements.
- Ensuring security of office records, equipment and documents including classified materials.
- Ensuring security, integrity and confidentiality of information.
- Maintaining an up to date filing system in the office.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
- Cumulative period of six (6) years’ relevant work experience three (3) of which should have been at the level of Office Administrator I or in a comparable position.
- Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields: - Secretarial Studies or in Business and Office Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized and accredited institution.
- OR Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences plus a Diploma in Secretarial Studies from the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Membership to a relevant professional body where applicable and in good standing.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
