JOB DETAILS:

Job Purpose:
To provide Professional ICT Support and Administration Service for the Banking Systems and Support Business Users on Business Applications

Key Responsibilities
• Ensure all bank systems availability to all users and ensure maximum usage and output of software to facilitate all and any of the Banks Operations.
• Put security measures in place to protect bank systems.
• Ensure effective enterprise data backup management.
• Install, configure and upgrade Banking Application System environments whenever required.
• Work with the information security office to ensure systems compliance.
• Constantly check on the global threats to the computer Systems and put preventive measures against any threat.
• Participate in the design, setup, implementation and testing business continuity and disaster recovery installations within the bank.
• Adhere to the bank’s IT security policies, standards and procedures.
• Test backup and fallback procedures for all Business Systems.
• Keep an inventory of accurate and up to date Server Assets and Systems.
• Install, support and administer servers, printers and the PC Networks.
• Provide technical services and support for WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security, Internal systems, cloud and network infrastructure; Microsoft related technologies: Windows Server, SQL; Virtualization technologies: VMware and Microsoft; Remote access solution support; Remote monitoring and management of system alerts and notifications.
• Attend to all ICT Helpdesk requests.
• Report and log all Risk events and service exceptions.
• Regular review of GAB users and server user profiles for all systems.
• Ensure all changes are done in an approved manner.
• Explore new technologies and trends related to computer systems.
• Manage Service Level Agreements for both internal and external customers and suppliers.
• Manage and maintain all data centre standards, procedures, health and safety, and day to day infrastructure performance issues.
• Provide training to the users whenever applicable.
• Deliver IT Projects/Changes on time and within budget. Evidence from project management and change log.
• Create security awareness among the banks staff and stakeholders.
• Proactively identify potential risks. Report all risk events and complete risk event action points on time.

Qualifications and experience
• University degree in IT, mathematics, Computer Science or telecommunication/electronics engineering
• Extensive exposure to IT systems especially windows, Linux, IBM, CISCO, Oracle, VMWare, Storage and SQL
• MS certifications an added advantage
• Must have a strong grasp of information security.
• A knowledge of operating systems and applications, as well as hardware and software troubleshooting, but also knowledge of the purposes for which people in the organization use the computers
• Minimum 4 years of experience to include technical, business and team leadership gained in results-driven commercial enterprise(s)
• Must have a strong grasp of information security.

• Wide range of knowledge in Systems Implementation, maintenance and support
• Experience in analyzing, designing, supporting and troubleshooting different systems and security appliances
• Good working knowledge of System Security and intrusion prevention systems
• Good level of knowledge about Data Centre Operation and Management procedures
• Good level of knowledge about monitoring the data centre environment and critical assets
• Working knowledge of the technical requirements and builds of DC (Direct Current) power infrastructures for data centres and telecommunication/IT equipment
• Ability to work in small multi-disciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, and ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
• Ability to prioritize and manage several open cases concurrently
• Ability to be self-drive
