Background

Makueni County Public Service Board wishes to recruit a competent and qualified person to fill the following vacant position as per Article 176 of the Constitution of Kenya 2000 and Section 59 of the County Governments’ Act 2012.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical inputs in the preparation and review of physical development plans at the national and regional level.
• Researching and reporting on challenges to effective physical planning to inform policy review and development.
• Providing supervision and technical backstopping to local governments and other stakeholders in the field of Physical Planning.
• Undertaking field inspections to ensure effective implementation of district, urban, and local physical development plans.
• Maintaining an updated database for approved physical plans.
• Supervising, mentoring, and appraising the performance of assigned staff.
