Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Research Manager to lead and oversee our research operations. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth execution of our research projects, fostering collaboration within the community, and driving the impact of our work.

Responsibilities

The Senior Research Manager will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing strategic research plans.
• Managing research projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
• Coordinating and supporting research teams, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
• Overseeing the allocation of resources and budget for research activities.
• Identifying and pursuing new research opportunities and funding avenues.
• Ensuring compliance with ethical research practices and data privacy regulations.
• Communicating research progress and findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in program or research operations management.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex research projects.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in English and French is required.
• Fluency in at least one African language is highly desirable.
• Experience in the NLP or AI research domain is a plus.
