We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading provider of ICT, ELV (Extra Low Voltage), and integrated technology solutions across Sub-Saharan Africa, for an experienced and results-driven Senior Sales Associate.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing strategic client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and expanding the company's footprint across regional markets. This role requires a highly commercial professional with proven experience in selling ICT equipment, technology solutions, networking infrastructure, security systems, data center solutions, or related products and services.
The ideal candidate must possess strong regional market exposure beyond Kenya and demonstrate a track record of achieving sales targets, managing key accounts, and closing high-value B2B deals.
Responsibilities or duties
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across Kenya and regional markets.
- Promote and sell ICT equipment, ELV systems, and technology solutions to corporate, government, NGO, education, and commercial clients.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue growth targets.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing and account management.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, presentations, and tender responses.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Understand client business needs and propose appropriate technology solutions.
- Conduct regular client visits, presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Develop business opportunities in regional markets across East Africa and other Sub-Saharan African countries.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
- Identify new market segments and growth opportunities.
- Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and business development updates.
- Provide market intelligence and strategic recommendations to management.
- Participate in sales strategy development and implementation.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in B2B sales within the ICT, ELV, telecommunications, networking, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or technology solutions sector.
- Demonstrated success in selling ICT equipment and technology solutions.
- Proven experience handling regional markets outside Kenya.
- Strong understanding of ICT infrastructure, networking, security systems, data center solutions, or related technologies.
- Excellent proposal writing, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to close high-value deals.
- Ability to build and maintain executive-level client relationships.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel within Kenya and across the region when required.
