In this Senior Specialist Professional Import/Export Operations-Mandarin Speaking position

  • Executes procedures in the administration of the Import/Export process from end to end and manage large projects/ processes with limited oversight from manager.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with existing customers.
  • Handle customer complaints and enquiries.
  • Provide high levels of customer service with a sense of urgency.
  • Support departmental head with the implementation of new/change of systems.
  • Build and maintain relationships with respective service providers.
  • Arrange for the movement of shipment from Pick up at customer to Delivery at airlines.
  • Book with carrier/Update CW1 remarks with booking info.
  • Complete import/export documents.
  • Complete the KPIs for Import/Export shipments.
  • Quality check documentation before lodging to airline and shipping lines.
  • Bill and close the shipment in CW1 Post flight/Customer messaging.
  • Uplift confirmations to customers.
  • Uploading of shipping documents into the applicable system.
  • Submitting shipment files to entry division for customs clearance.
  • Prepares files for entries
  • Monitoring and following up on shipments until delivery.
  • Support other team members by supervising operations and provide backup for absence/ peaks in operational activities.
  • Identify and propose opportunities to grow business with and retain existing customer base, and support development and execution of customer business plan

  • Knowledge of the Import/Export procedures in a freight forwarding environment.
  • Mandarin Speaking.
  • Good Negotiation and communication skills.
  • High result orientation.
  • Customs regulation knowledge.
  • Able to work timely with high accuracy.
  • Microsoft Excel and Word knowledge.
  • 3-5 years related experience.
  • Must have a matric.
  • Preferred Cargo wise experience
