Responsibilities or duties

Analyse complex administrative workflows to identify pain points and opportunities for automation and simplification.

Develop user personas, journey maps, and service blueprints specific to the higher education context.

Lead the end-to-end design process for multiple concurrent internal projects, from concept to final handoff.

Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and design specifications using tools like Figma or Adobe XD.

Establish and maintain a cohesive Design System (UI Kit, component library) to ensure consistency across all University internal applications.

Design responsive interfaces that work seamlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

Provide clear design handoffs and be available to developers during the build phase to ensure pixel-perfect implementation.

Plan and facilitate usability testing sessions to validate design decisions.

Analyse user feedback and system usage data to continuously iterate on and improve existing features post-launch.

Ensure all designs meet accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) to cater to a diverse user base.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Bachelors degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

Experience needed

5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably with experience in SaaS, Enterprise software (ERP/CRM), or EdTech.

A strong portfolio is mandatory. We need to see proven experience designing complex web applications (dashboards, data tables, administrative portals).

Proven experience working in an agile/scrum development environment
