JOB DETAILS:

Position: Shelf Stocker / Merchandiser
Industry: Retail / Supermarket

Job Summary:
The Shelf Stocker/Merchandiser will ensure products are adequately stocked, correctly arranged, clearly priced, and attractively displayed to support sales and a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Replenish shelves and displays with products from the stockroom.
• Arrange products according to store merchandising standards.
• Ensure shelves are neat, clean, and properly organized.
• Check product prices, labels, and promotional displays.
• Rotate stock according to applicable stock-rotation procedures.
• Identify damaged, expired, or low-stock products and report them.
• Monitor product availability and communicate replenishment needs.
• Assist with stock counts and inventory checks.
• Ensure promotional products are properly displayed.
• Maintain cleanliness around assigned shelves and displays.

Requirements:

• KCSE certificate or equivalent.
• Previous supermarket, retail, merchandising, or stocking experience is an advantage.
• Good attention to detail.
• Physically fit and able to lift and move stock safely.
• Good organizational and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, disciplined, and hardworking.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: high school
