Vessel Operations Management
Coordinate inward and outward vessel clearance with port authorities.
Attend vessel boarding for arrival and departure formalities.
Ensure timely submission and processing of vessel documentation.
Monitor vessel operations including loading and discharge activities.
Port & Regulatory Compliance
Liaise with port authorities, customs, immigration, port health, and marine authorities.
Ensure compliance with all port regulations and statutory requirements.
Manage vessel clearance documentation and obtain sailing clearance.
Stakeholder Coordination
Maintain communication with principals, vessel masters, ship owners, and charterers.
Coordinate service providers including stevedores, ship chandlers, bunkering suppliers, and transport providers.
Support crew change logistics and vessel husbandry services.
Operational Reporting
Prepare Daily Vessel Movement Reports (DMR).
Prepare Statements of Facts (SOF) and discharge/loading reports.
Track cargo discrepancies including short or excess landings.
Financial & Billing Coordination
Request marine and port charges from port authorities.
Follow up on port invoices and coordinate payment processing.
Ensure proper documentation of operational expenses for disbursement accounts.
Cargo Operations Monitoring
Supervise cargo discharge and loading operations.
Coordinate with forwarders and transporters during cargo handling.
Monitor cargo condition to minimize loss or damage.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with company QHSE standards.
Enforce safe operational practices during vessel and port operations.
Report operational incidents or safety risks.
Profile
Diploma in Shipping or Maritime Operations
Minimum 2–3 years' experience in shipping agency, port operations, or maritime logistics.
Experience working with port authorities and vessel operations.
Knowledge of port tariffs, vessel clearance procedures, and cargo operations.
