Our client is a growing retail brand specializing in high-quality EX-US goods. Located along Kiambu Road, the business blends the in-store shopping experience with a strong online presence. They are now looking to hire a proactive and communicative Social Media Manager / Sales Attendant who is passionate about retail, customer service, and digital engagement.
Job Summary
This role combines the creativity and strategic thinking of social media management with the attentiveness and charm of in-store customer service. The ideal candidate should be proactive, have a keen eye for detail, and possess or be eager to develop strong product knowledge to better engage customers both online and in person.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
- Develop and post engaging content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and WhatsApp Status consistently.
- Showcase new stock and highlight trending items through photos, reels, and stories.
- Respond to online inquiries and comments promptly, creating a friendly and informative online presence.
- Track online engagement and suggest ways to improve content and reach.
- Maintain a clean and cohesive brand look and feel across all digital platforms.
- Monitor product interest online and share insights with the team.
Customer Engagement & In-Store Sales
- Offer exceptional customer service to walk-in clients, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist shoppers in selecting products and provide detailed product knowledge.
- Handle point-of-sale operations, including mobile payments and cash.
- Engage customers in a proactive manner both in-store and online, addressing needs and upselling where appropriate.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and contribute to overall shop organization.
- Support restocking, tagging, and basic inventory tasks.
Key Attributes & Skills
- Communicative and personable, with the ability to connect with a diverse customer base.
- Strong social media knowledge and efficiency in content creation.
- Attentive to detail, ensuring both posts and shop displays are neat and compelling.
- Proactive in seeking solutions, anticipating customer needs, and contributing ideas.
- Willing to learn and grow product knowledge to better serve clients.
- Confident multitasker who can balance digital work with physical retail demands.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Sales & Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or retail sales.
- Proficiency with major social media platforms and basic photo/video editing tools.
Work Schedule
- Work Days: 6 days a week, including Saturdays & Sunday (Day off can be any day of the week)
- Location: Kiambu Road – physical presence required in the store
