Job Purpose

Blessing Junior Academy is seeking passionate, competent, and dedicated teachers to join its academic team. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction at Upper Primary to Junior School level, while supporting learners' academic, social, and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in the assigned subject(s) according to the relevant curriculum.
• Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, teaching materials, assignments, and assessments.
• Use learner-centred, practical, and interactive teaching methods to promote effective learning.
• Assess learners through classwork, assignments, tests, projects, and examinations.
• Monitor and maintain accurate records of learners' academic progress.
• Identify learners' strengths and learning gaps and provide appropriate support and remediation.
• Encourage critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, participation, and independent learning.
• Maintain good classroom discipline and create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
• Prepare learners effectively for internal and relevant external examinations.
• Provide guidance and support to learners on academic and personal development matters.
• Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and the school administration.
• Communicate professionally with parents and guardians regarding learners' progress where required.
• Participate in staff meetings, school activities, examinations, co-curricular programmes, and other academic activities.
• Maintain professional teaching standards and uphold the values and policies of the school.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the school administration.

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant teaching qualification from a recognized institution.
• Ability to teach at Upper Primary to Junior School level.
• Relevant teaching experience will be an added advantage.
• Good classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with learners of different abilities.
