Background information about the job or company

Twyford International is looking for a skilled and experienced Solar Engineer to support the design, installation, and management of solar energy systems. The ideal candidate will oversee end-to-end solar project execution, from site assessment and system design to installation, commissioning, and maintenance.

This role requires strong technical expertise, project management capability, and excellent stakeholder engagement skills to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality solar projects.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Design and implement solar power projects in accordance with technical standards and safety regulations.
  • Manage solar project installations and ensure smooth end-to-end project execution.
  • Conduct site assessments, including structural analysis and measurement of installation areas.
  • Configure, install, and connect solar panels to electrical systems in compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Perform testing and performance evaluation of installed solar systems.
  • Commission and optimize solar installations to ensure maximum efficiency and reliability.
  • Conduct maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of solar power systems.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding and fulfilling customer requirements during project implementation.

Qualifications or requirements 

  • Strong knowledge of solar project development, site surveys, and techno-commercial proposal preparation.
  • Solid project management and supervision skills.
  • Experience in solar system monitoring and performance analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior decision-makers.
  • Professional, well-presented, and articulate.
  • Strong initiative with an entrepreneurial and strategic mindset.
  • Strong technical background in solar energy systems and projects.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy.

Experience needed

  • Minimum 3 years of verifiable experience in solar installation and solar project implementation.
  • Design and implement solar power projects in accordance with technical standards and safety regulations.
  • Manage solar project installations and ensure smooth end-to-end project execution.
  • Conduct site assessments, including structural analysis and measurement of installation areas.
