JOB DETAILS:

Job Purpose: To gain hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar-powered irrigation pumps, supporting the hub's mission of promoting climate-smart agricultural technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shadow senior technicians during the installation and commissioning of solar pump systems.
• Assist in performing routine maintenance and inspections on existing solar pump installations.
• Help in diagnosing and troubleshooting technical faults in solar panels, pumps, controllers, and electrical connections.
• Learn to test system performance and ensure optimal operation.
• Support in providing basic technical guidance and training to customers on system use.
• Assist in maintaining records of services, repairs, and inventory.
• Adhere to all safety standards and protocols during fieldwork.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Recent graduate or current student in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to work outdoors and conduct fieldwork.
• Good problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.
• Safety-conscious and attentive to detail.

Level of Education: bachelor degree
