Background

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 63 of the County Governments Act No. 17 of 2012, IsioloCounty Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following position.

SONOGRAPHER, JOB GROUP ‘J’ (4 POSTS)

TERMS: Permanent And Pensionable

Duties and Responsibilities

This will be the entry and training grade for the Radiographers/Sonographers cadre. An officer at this level will work under the supervision and guidance of an experienced officer. Specific dutieswill include: providing radiographic services to the patients; processing, verifyingandmaintaining information relating to patients; ordering and maintaining records of radiographicand photographic supplies.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -

• Higher Diploma in any of the following: Diagnostic Radiography/Medical Imaging Sciences, Ultrasound, Computerized Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy and Digital Medical imagingequipment or its equivalent from a recognized Institution.
• Diploma in Radiography and Medical Imaging
• Registration with a valid practice license from Radiation Protection Board of Kenya.
• Computer knowledge
• Satisfy requirement of chapter six of constitution of Kenya

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: professional certificate
