SONOGRAPHER

Job Purpose

The Sonographer will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations accurately and safely, producing high-quality images to support clinicians in diagnosis and patient management.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations according to clinical requests.
• Prepare patients and explain procedures clearly.
• Obtain appropriate and high-quality diagnostic images.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment appropriately.
• Record and document examination findings accurately.
• Identify and report significant or urgent findings according to professional protocols.
• Prepare preliminary or formal reports within the scope of practice.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and dignity.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
• Ensure appropriate care and cleanliness of ultrasound equipment.
• Maintain accurate examination records.
• Work closely with clinicians and other diagnostic staff.
• Participate in quality assurance and equipment maintenance activities.

Qualifications & Skills

• Relevant qualification in Medical Ultrasound/Sonography from a recognized institution.
• Valid professional registration/licence where applicable.
• Practical experience in diagnostic ultrasound is an advantage.
• Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
