Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Sonographer to join our team at the Equity Afia Medical Centre in Kiserian. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic medical sonography examinations and providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures according to established protocols and standards.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to acquire diagnostic images.
• Analyze sonographic images and prepare preliminary reports for review by a radiologist or physician.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Adhere to infection control policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Medical Imaging Technology or a related field.
• Certification from a recognized professional body (e.g., Kenya Society of Radiographers).
• Proven experience as a Sonographer.
• Proficiency in operating various ultrasound machines and software.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid practicing license.
