Responsibilities or duties
Specific duties and responsibilities for post: -
- Setup and Installation: Installing, configuring, and testing microphones, amplifiers, monitors, mixing boards and lighting equipment before events or recordings.
- Live/Broadcast Operation: Mixing and adjusting sound levels in real-time during live performances, theater shows or broadcasts to ensure high-quality, balanced audio.
- Technical Support: Operating, maintaining, repairing, or replacing audio equipment.
- Collaboration: Working with directors, performers, and technical crews to achieve the desired audio vision.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
For appointment, the applicant must:
- Diploma in any of the following disciplines:- Sound Engineering, Sound Design, Music Production, Broadcast Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
- Advanced knowledge of computer systems;
- Knowledge of sound and recording equipment;
- Ability to monitor and adjust sound quality constantly;
- Quick thinking to fix audio issues (e.g., feedback) during live, high-pressure situations.
Experience needed
Practical experience and certifications will be an added advantage.
