About the role
We are looking for a highly analytical and proactive Sourcing Unit Planner to play a critical role in ensuring the reliable delivery of customer demand through world-class production planning, inventory optimization, and capacity management. Reporting to the Head of Factory -Kenya, this role sits at the heart of our factory operations, connecting demand, supply, manufacturing, and procurement to drive service excellence and operational efficiency.
What you'll do
As Sourcing Unit Planner, you will be responsible for:
- Translating demand forecasts into executable production plans that ensure consistent product availability and customer service
- Optimizing factory capacity, production schedules, and resource utilization to improve operational performance
- Ensuring material availability while maintaining healthy inventory levels and supporting working capital objectives
- Driving planning excellence through Integrated Business Planning (IBP), data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Partnering with stakeholders across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Demand Planning to manage risks and enable seamless execution
- Contribute to improvements in customer service and product availability, Forecast accuracy and planning effectiveness, production plan attainment and schedule adherence, capacity utilization and operational efficiency, inventory performance and material availability.
What does it take to be successful?
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Management, or a related field
3-5 years' experience in production, supply, or manufacturing planning
Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, consumer goods, pharmaceutical, or industrial manufacturing environments
Hands-on experience in Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Master Production Scheduling (MPS) and Detailed Production Scheduling (DPS) using SAP or similar Advanced Planning Systems
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and effective stakeholder management skills
A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to influence and drive results across teams.
