JOB DETAILS:
Key deliverables include:
Performance analysis and strengthening of operations and operating models
• Carry out a detailed analysis of current and past five-year performance
• Prepare and propose a detailed action plan to address areas of improvement and areas of enhancements
• Support the Board and the CEO in implementing operational and system-level improvements & enhancements to strengthen the AKES, K operations in all functions
• Provide any other support requested by the Board of Directors

Strengthening of the International Curriculum schools
• Work with school leadership and the CEO in aligning academic systems and processes at the school to ensure smooth transition from Nursery to Senior School
• Review student achievement levels and teaching & learning practice at the school
• Recommend and implement measures to enhance execution of the International Baccalaureate curriculum at the Aga Khan Academy, Nairobi
• Support the development and implementation of strategies to enhance school performance to international benchmarks

Implementation of a sound operating model for National Curriculum schools
• Evaluate performance of the Aga Khan national curriculum schools, educational results, teaching & learning systems and processes, including school administration
• Assess leadership and staff capacity and formulate a development strategy for them
• Support school leadership and the CEO in leading change at the school level
• Guide the development and implementation of whole school improvement plans with specific strategies to enhance teachers’ accountability and capacity to deliver a strengthened execution of the curriculum to achieve higher student outcomes
• Assess the status of implementation of the CBC requirements at the AKES, K national curriculum schools

The requirements
• A Master in Education, Business or Non-profit Administration
• Significant experience in leading and guiding a network of schools, with proven track record of improving teaching & learning and achieving high student results
• Relevant experience in managing international and national curricula
• Demonstrable experience of cultural awareness, understanding and sensitivity
• Demonstrable experience in leading people to deliver results
• Demonstrable experience in developing leadership to realize their full potential
• Change management agent
