Job Purpose

To coordinate, support, and monitor inclusive education services for learners with diverse learning needs, ensuring equitable access to quality education.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support early identification and assessment of learners with special needs.
  • Coordinate support services and monitor progress through Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Advocate for inclusive education and accessible learning environments.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to teachers on inclusive practices.
  • Ensure policy implementation and compliance with national regulations.
  • Engage parents and communities.
  • Support resource mobilization and management of assistive learning materials and technologies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Special Needs Education.
  • Minimum 5 years experience.
  • Member of Teacher Service Commission (TSC).

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Catholic education, its purpose, processes, ethos, and practice.
  • Knowledge of MOE guidelines and procedures.
  • Knowledge of administrative functions in schools.
  • Knowledge of Child Development.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to write and communicate fluently in Kiswahili and English.
