Job Purpose
To coordinate, support, and monitor inclusive education services for learners with diverse learning needs, ensuring equitable access to quality education.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support early identification and assessment of learners with special needs.
- Coordinate support services and monitor progress through Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Advocate for inclusive education and accessible learning environments.
- Provide technical guidance and training to teachers on inclusive practices.
- Ensure policy implementation and compliance with national regulations.
- Engage parents and communities.
- Support resource mobilization and management of assistive learning materials and technologies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Special Needs Education.
- Minimum 5 years experience.
- Member of Teacher Service Commission (TSC).
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Catholic education, its purpose, processes, ethos, and practice.
- Knowledge of MOE guidelines and procedures.
- Knowledge of administrative functions in schools.
- Knowledge of Child Development.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to write and communicate fluently in Kiswahili and English.
