ABOUT THE ROLE

The Store Attendant will manage the receipt, storage, and issuance of pharmaceutical products and supplies, ensuring accurate inventory control and compliance with pharmaceutical storage standards.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive, inspect, count, and record all incoming stock and supplies
  • Maintain accurate stock records, bin cards, and stock movement registers
  • Ensure proper pharmaceutical storage conditions including temperature monitoring
  • Issue stock items as authorised and update stock cards accordingly
  • Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and annual inventory audits
  • Report and document stock discrepancies, damages, and expired products
  • Maintain the store in a clean, organised, and FIFO-compliant manner
  • Support logistics team with dispatch preparation and delivery documentation

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum KCSE / Form 4 — Grade C and above
  • Certificate in Store Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of inventory management, stock control, and FIFO principles
  • Physically fit, honest, reliable, and able to handle pharmaceutical products carefully
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, pharmacy, or pharmaceutical store is preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including early morning shifts
