At TakaTaka Solutions, We collect your waste like every other waste collector, but, instead of taking it to a landfill, we take it to our own sites, where we sort the waste, and then recycle 95% either ourselves or through our local partners. This represents one of the highest recycling rates in the world.
Responsibilities or duties
- Receiving all goods delivered to the store and verifying quantities and quality against delivery notes and LPOs.
- Recording all incoming and outgoing stock in the system and manual registers.
- Issuing materials to departments upon request and ensuring proper authorization.
- Maintaining accurate and updated stock levels and reporting shortages immediately.
- Conducting daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts.
- Ensuring proper storage, labeling, and arrangement of inventory for easy retrieval.
- Monitoring stock expiry, damages, breakages, and reporting exceptions.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the store area.
- Supporting procurement with follow-ups on deliveries and documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with store management policies and internal controls.
- Preparing stock movement reports and submitting them to the Finance and Procurement teams.
- Coordinating with departments to understand and plan for stock requirements.
- Reviewing stock usage patterns and identifying slow-moving or fast-moving items.
- Supporting bin liner distribution and updating inventory databases.
- Assisting in developing improved stock control procedures.
- Supporting budget monitoring by providing stock consumption trends.
- Identifying risks related to inventory (e.g., shortages, losses, wastage) and recommending mitigation measures.
- Preparing specialized inventory reports for management decision-making.
Qualifications or requirements
Certificate/Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, Warehousing, or related field.
KISM certification is an added advantage.
Experience needed
Proven experience in stores/warehouse operations or inventory management.
Understanding of stock handling, receiving, issuing, and documentation procedures.
