Background

The Maa Trust is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering Maasai communities in Kenya through sustainable development initiatives. We are seeking a motivated and organized Store Front Officer to manage our retail operations and contribute to our mission.

Responsibilities

The Store Front Officer will be responsible for:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the store front, including inventory management, sales, and customer service.
  • Ensuring the store is well-organized, visually appealing, and stocked with products.
  • Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Providing excellent customer service and building positive relationships with customers.
  • Assisting with marketing and promotional activities to drive sales.
  • Maintaining accurate sales records and inventory reports.
  • Collaborating with the team to achieve sales targets and organizational goals.

Qualifications and Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in retail sales or customer service.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • A passion for community development and the mission of The Maa Trust.

Experience

Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing role is required. Experience in inventory management is a plus.
