Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Store Keeper to manage inventory, oversee stock movements, and maintain accurate records of goods in our warehouse or storage facility. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in inventory management, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming goods and materials.
- Organize and store items systematically for easy access and retrieval.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with system records.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment orders to prevent shortages.
Stock Issuance & Dispatch:
- Prepare and issue materials, tools, and equipment to authorized personnel or departments.
- Ensure timely dispatch of goods to customers or other branches as per delivery schedules.
- Verify shipment documents and maintain accurate dispatch records.
Record Keeping & Reporting:
- Maintain up-to-date inventory records using manual logs or digital systems (e.g., ERP, Excel).
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports for management review.
- Document stock movements, returns, damages, and losses.
Warehouse Maintenance & Safety:
- Ensure the storage area is clean, organized, and secure at all times.
- Implement and adhere to safety regulations and warehouse best practices.
- Monitor environmental conditions (e.g., temperature, humidity) for sensitive goods.
Quality Control:
- Inspect incoming and stored goods for damage, expiry, or quality issues.
- Report defective or non-conforming items to the supervisor promptly.
- Ensure proper handling and storage to preserve product integrity.
Team Coordination:
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to streamline operations.
- Assist in training new staff on warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
- Support annual stock-taking and audit activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- Diploma or Certificate in Storekeeping, Inventory Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Additional training in warehouse management or forklift operation is an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as a Store Keeper, Warehouse Assistant, or similar role.
- Experience in inventory software and MS Office (especially Excel) is required.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Basic numerical and analytical skills for stock reconciliation.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle goods safely.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Honest, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
