About this offer

What you will do:

  • Responsible for carrying out actions raised on productivity reports
  • Be knowledgeable about customer's needs, complaints and suggestions, and deal with customer complaints and queries effectively and efficiently
  • Responsible for the adherence to brand guidelines and collection planning
  • Collaborative with Country/Group Retail Business Managers to communicate feedback on customer buying trends and potential gaps in collection identified
  • Accountable to adhere to the allocated store budget such as sales, payroll and operational costs
  • Responsible for the execution of identified actions following mystery shopper reports
  • Accountable for the smooth functioning of retail stores by providing day-to-day training on customer service and store operations, ensuring that all staff receive all assigned training, thus ensuring a high standard of work
  • Responsible for recruitment and selection of team according to brand guidelines, allocated headcount and adhering to payroll budget
  • Responsible for setting up store rosters that deliver the resource needs of the store, and to ensure accurate timesheet reporting
  • Coordinating store employees by establishing working areas, product specializations, and work rosters
  • Responsible for ensuring that Visual Merchandising guidelines are adhered to, in collaboration with the Country/Group Visual Merchandiser
  • Responsible for ensuring that the retail outlet is well maintained, and coordinate and monitor all repair or upgrading work carried out at the retail outlet
  • Responsible for ensuring that the Sales Assistants have all required resources and support needed to perform their roles
  • Prepare KPIs for Sales Assistants and review progress bi-annually
  • Ensure that customers are provided with unique experiences in line with the company branding
  • Responsible for checking that all items within the shop are free of defects, properly displayed and correctly priced
  • Responsible for ensuring that all security measures are in place and functioning adequately, and reporting timeously when they are not

  • Top Line Sales
  • Labour Costs – as defined in consultation with Country Retail Manager / General Manager
  • Mystery Shopper Ratings
  • Conversion Rates - UPT, ATV
  • Direct operation costs
  • Stock Loss
  • Completion of all assigned training for team
  • Staff Retention

Team Performance and Development

  • Bi-annual performance check-ins with team to review progress on objectives and redirect activities, as needed
  • Identifying training and development needs of the team and defining development plans, in collaboration with HR

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Effective collaboration with Country Retail Managers to ensure banner/brand strategies are effectively rolled out in the stores
  • Customer satisfaction measured through mystery shopping program
  • Support Visual Merchandise in setting up the store

Competencies required:

What you will bring to the role:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a retail store, ideally occupying a supervisory or leadership role

  • Flexibility to work in shifts
  • Sales driven with a good understanding of KPI’s
