SUPERVISOR

Job Summary

The Retail Supervisor will oversee day-to-day store operations, coordinate staff, support sales performance, maintain service standards, and ensure smooth and efficient running of the retail outlet.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate retail staff, including cashiers, sales agents, merchandisers, cleaners, and security personnel.
• Allocate duties and prepare staff schedules where required.
• Monitor daily store operations and ensure company procedures are followed.
• Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained.
• Monitor sales performance and support achievement of store targets.
• Oversee cash-handling and checkout operations.
• Monitor stock levels, product displays, and inventory movement.
• Support stock-taking and investigate discrepancies.
• Handle customer complaints and escalate complex matters to management.
• Ensure the store is clean, organised, and professionally presented.
• Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, performance, and conduct.
• Train and guide new employees.
• Report operational, staffing, stock, security, and customer-service issues to management.
• Ensure health, safety, security, and company policies are followed.
• Prepare and submit relevant daily or periodic operational reports.

Requirements

• Previous supervisory experience in retail, sales, hospitality, or a related environment.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills.
• Good understanding of retail operations and customer service.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Good numerical and basic computer skills.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Honest, professional, proactive, and results-oriented.
