Job Purpose
The Supply Chain Assistant will assist the Bank in achieving its strategic goals through implementation of efficient and effective systems of acquisition of goods, works and services, as well as disposal of assets.
Job Specification
- Sourcing for goods, works and services as per procurement law.
- Raising purchase orders for goods and services for approval.
- Liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Maintaining and updating the list of prequalified suppliers.
- Assisting in undertaking market surveys to ensure that DBK obtains value for money.
- Ensuring safe custody of all procurement records.
- Participating in opening quotations.
- Supplying stationery and other supplies to employees at Head Office and all branches.
- Performing any other duties assigned from time to time.
Person Specification
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- Diploma in Procurement and Logistics Management or any related course.
- A minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience at the grade of Supply Chain Assistant or a comparable position.
- Membership in the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM).
- Certificate in Computer Proficiency from a recognized institution.
- Excellent computer literacy and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated results in work performance.
- Fulfillment of the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
