ROLE PURPOSE:

The Supply chain Intern is responsible for supporting the Logistics unit with asset and warehouse management and processing requests for procurement of goods and services for both the Nairobi Country Office and field offices and ensure delivery to the program.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma/Degree or equivalent and professional training in supply chain management
  • At least 3-6months experience in supply chain areas-Procurement, Warehousing and Logistics
  • Should have successfully completed an industrial attachment in an institution
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation
  • Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Strong results orientation and commitment
  • Ability to use excel, word and outlook
  • Should possess strong work ethics
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Supporting the Logistics unit with asset and warehouse management
