Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities will entail:

  • Implementing and enforcing regulations and policies on supply chain management
  • Confirming receipt of the right quantity of goods, works or services are delivered
  • Receiving and issuing purchases to user divisions
  • Preparing quotations for stores items
  • Filing and maintaining procurement records
  • Applying systems and procedures
  • Analyzing supply chain management data
  • Carrying out Asset Management Activities
  • Disposing unserviceable /obsolete stores on the recommendation of a board of survey
  • Preparing periodic and annual supply chain management reports
  • Maintaining reorder levels of stores to facilitate smooth running of the Institute, by replenishing stock in good time

Qualifications

Person specifications

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

  • Cumulative service in storekeeping and or inventory management for a period of six (6) years, three (3) of which must have been at the grade of Supply Chain Management Assistant II or in a comparable position
  • Diploma in Supply Chain Management (final stage from CIPS / CPSP-K from KISEB) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
  • Full membership; Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) in good standing
  • Proficiency in Computer Applications
