JOB DETAILS:
Overall, the Manager, Supply Chain will be expected to play a critical role in ensuring that the company's supply chain is efficient, cost-effective, and meets the needs of the business and its customers. H/She will be responsible for optimizing OPC’s supply chain which will involve managing the flow of goods and services, including procurement, transportation, stores and inventory management, and distribution of good across departments and functions.

Specific Roles include;
Procurement:

• Ensuring that the organization has the necessary resources and materials to meet its goals and objectives by managing the procurement process from sourcing to delivery.

Inventory Management:

• Overseeing the management of inventory levels and ensuring that adequate stocks are available to meet demand.

Logistics and Distribution:
• Coordinating the movement of goods and materials from suppliers to internal customers, including the management of transportation, warehousing, and distribution.

Vendor Management:
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that suppliers are meeting performance expectations.

Risk Management:
• Identifying and managing potential risks in the supply chain, such as disruptions to supply, fluctuations in demand, and changes in regulations.

Cost Management:
• Continuously monitoring and analyzing supply chain costs and implementing strategies to reduce costs while maintaining quality and service levels.

Sustainability:
• Ensuring that the supply chain is sustainable and environmentally responsible, including reducing the carbon footprint and promoting the use of renewable resources.

Collaboration and Communication:
• Working closely with internal stakeholders, including logistics, finance, and marketing, to ensure alignment and optimize the supply chain.

Continuous Improvement:
• Driving continuous improvement in supply chain processes, including the adoption of new technologies, and the development of innovative solutions

The person:
To be successful in this position, applicants must meet the following requirements;
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Must be a registered member of KISM with CIPS qualifications
• Knowledge and experience with procurement, inventory management, and transportation operations.
• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to communicate effectively with external stakeholders, such as vendors, suppliers, and logistics providers.
• Ability to thrive in a high paced, fast turnaround business.
• Demonstrate a high level of commercial acumen as well as achieve exceptional results from supply chain management.
• Be positive, motivated, ambitious, proactive, with a “can-do” attitude.
• Have experience of using ERP system and MRP systems or other related systems
• Results oriented with excellent problem-solving skills - Identify and analyze complex supply chain problems and develop solutions to address them.
• Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
