Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our supply chain operations, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of products. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of supply chain principles and a proven track record in managing complex logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Manage inventory levels, procurement, and logistics operations.
  • Oversee the transportation of goods, ensuring compliance with regulations and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
  • Monitor supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the agrochemical or related industry.
  • Proven experience in inventory management, procurement, and logistics.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
