TVET Graduate Assistant - Perioperative Theatre Technology

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY

  • Teach perioperative theatre technology courses using competency-based methodologies.
  • Train learners on theatre procedures, aseptic techniques, surgical instrumentation, and patient safety.
  • Prepare and administer assessments in theory and practical sessions, and administer Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs).
  • Supervise skills labs, simulations, and clinical attachments.
  • Ensure adherence to occupational safety, infection control, and theatre ethics.
  • Maintain teaching and assessment records.
  • Support continuous improvement of training programmes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • A degree in Biomedical engineering, Higher National Diploma in Perioperative Theatre Technology, Degree in Nursing or any other related health discipline.
  • Valid professional registration.
  • Relevant teaching and industry experience.
