Our client, a global pioneer in business management software supporting over 2.5 million businesses across 100+ countries, is seeking an experienced Talent Development & Capacity Building Manager to join their International Operations team in Kenya.
The successful candidate will own the end-to-end design, launch, and scaling of a structured internship and early-career talent program, building a strong, job-ready pipeline to support Sales & Distribution, Digital Sales, Customer Success, and Product Adoption teams. This is a zero-to-one role, ideal for a purpose-driven HR professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about developing people at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and continuously improve the end-to-end internship and early-career capacity-building program.
- Create structured learning paths, success frameworks, training plans, and performance milestones for interns.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, induction, training, performance evaluation, and career planning for interns.
- Partner with business leaders to align capacity-building initiatives with organisational and talent needs.
- Build and manage relationships with universities and academic institutions to attract high-potential talent.
- Deliver strong product, functional, and business-context training to enable interns to become productive contributors.
- Own the intern experience, engagement, and growth journey, ensuring clarity on career progression opportunities.
- Act as the primary interface between interns, business teams, and leadership.
- Track program outcomes, talent conversion rates, and impact on business capacity.
- Continuously refine the program using feedback, performance data, and evolving business requirements.
Key Qualifications
- Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
- 3–5 years’ experience in HR, Talent Development, Capacity Building, or Early Careers programs.
- Proven experience designing and delivering structured learning or workforce development initiatives.
- Strong business partnering skills with the ability to align people initiatives to business outcomes.
- Excellent communication, coaching, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving, multi-stakeholder environment.
- High ownership mindset with the ability to build and scale programs from scratch.
