Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and accounting transactions using Tally ERP.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Review and scrutinize general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform regular account reconciliations, including bank, supplier, and customer accounts.
  • Prepare and post journal entries and adjustment entries in Tally ERP.
  • Coordinate audit preparation by compiling and providing the required financial documentation.
  • Ensure timely compliance with all tax and statutory obligations, including filing and remittance of applicable taxes.
  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies promptly.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Maintain organized financial records and recommend improvements to accounting processes.
  • Perform any other finance and accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA(K) qualification or progress toward certification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in an accounting role, with practical experience using Tally ERP.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and Kenyan tax and statutory regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and a high level of integrity.
