About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Tax Reporting Accountant to join our finance team at Unga Holdings PLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely tax compliance and reporting for the organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file all company tax returns accurately and on time.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Reconcile tax accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
• Assist in tax audits and respond to queries from tax authorities.
• Provide tax advice and support to other departments.
• Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and their impact on the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Proven experience as a Tax Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan tax laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in tax reporting and compliance.
