Job Summary

Makini Schools is seeking a passionate and qualified Teacher of French & English to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective instruction in both French and English to students across various grade levels. This role requires a strong understanding of language pedagogy, curriculum development, and student assessment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in French and English according to the school's curriculum and educational standards.
• Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning needs and styles.
• Assess student progress through various methods, including assignments, tests, and projects, and provide timely feedback.
• Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to support student development and school initiatives.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated with educational best practices.
• Contribute to the development and review of the French and English curriculum.

Qualifications 

Education & Experience

• Bachelor of Education degree (Education)French and English or French and any second subject from a recognized University/ Institution
• Be a registered TSC member
• A minimum of 5 years teaching experience in a recognized school

• Proficiency in both French and English languages (written and spoken).

• Bachelor's degree in Education, French, English, or a related field.
• A teaching qualification (e.g., PGC E, B.Ed) is essential.
• Proven experience teaching French and English at the primary or secondary level.
• Knowledge of the Kenyan curriculum is an added advantage.
