Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the school library.
• Prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with the approved curriculum and schemes of work.
• Develop lesson plans, teaching aids, and assessment tools aligned with learning objectives.
• Assess, record, and report learners’ academic progress accurately and timely.
• Maintain high standards of classroom management, discipline, and learner engagement.
• Support learners’ holistic development including academic, moral, and character growth.
• Participate in curriculum implementation, evaluation, and co-curricular activities.
• Prepare learners for internal and national examinations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
• Uphold child safeguarding, protection, and positive discipline standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education with specialization in History/CRE or Computer Studies, or a related subject area.
• Valid teaching certification (TSC registration is required).
• Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting.
• Proven ability to demonstrate positive academic performance and learner progress.
• Knowledge in both CBC and 8-4-4 Curriculum based system.
