Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Team Leader to join our Agri-Finance Loans department, specifically focusing on the Maziwa (dairy) sector. The Team Leader will be responsible for managing a team of loan officers, driving loan portfolio growth, ensuring compliance with company policies, and providing excellent customer service to our clients in the agricultural sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of loan officers to achieve individual and team targets.
• Oversee the loan application and approval process, ensuring adherence to credit policies and procedures.
• Monitor the performance of the loan portfolio, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
• Develop and implement strategies to expand the Agri-Finance loan portfolio within the Maziwa sector.
• Ensure excellent customer service delivery and build strong relationships with clients.
• Prepare regular reports on team performance, portfolio status, and market trends.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Proven experience in microfinance or banking, with a strong understanding of loan products and credit risk management.
• Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is essential.
• Knowledge of the dairy sector and agricultural finance is a significant advantage.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office Suite.
