The role involves applying principles of petroleum chemistry to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations in compliance with industry standards and company Procedures

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in petroleum chemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field.

Strong understanding of petroleum refining processes, hydrocarbons, and chemical reactions.

Knowledge of laboratory techniques and analytical instruments. Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory requirements in the oil and gas industry.

Experience

At least 3 years working experience in lubricants, detergents and related processing companies

Main responsibilities

Operate and monitor processing units, laboratory equipment, and production systems related to petroleum products.

Conduct chemical analyses and quality control tests on crude oil, refined products, and process streams.

Interpret test results and operating data to support process optimization and troubleshooting.

Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental (hse) regulations at all times.

Assist in start up, shutdown, and Routine maintenance of equipment and systems.

Record operational data, test results, and prepare technical reports.

Follow standard operating procedures (sops) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
