Background
Solflare is seeking a Technical Sales and Marketing Executive to drive sales of technical products and services (ICT systems, security solutions, construction materials, etc.) by responding to tenders, building client relationships, and achieving revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze tender documents (like those from PBZ, TANESCO, EACOP) to understand technical requirements and client needs.
- Prepare and submit compelling technical and commercial proposals in response to RFIs, EOIs, and Tenders.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities in target sectors (Banking, Energy, Infrastructure, Mining).
- Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to clients and procurement committees.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to design solutions that meet tender specifications.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in government and private sector entities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and new tender announcements.
- Ensure all proposals comply with legal, regulatory, and local content requirements (e.g., BRELA, TRA, NEMC).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Proven experience in technical sales, bidding, or business development, preferably in IT, construction, or engineering services.
- Excellent understanding of public procurement processes in Tanzania.
- Strong writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings.
