JOB TITLE: TECHNICAL SALES & MARKETING EXECUTIVE (3 POSITIONS)

NATURE OF JOB: FULL TIME

INDUSTRY: LABORATORY SUPPLIES

SALARY: KSHS.35,000

JOB LOCATION: NGARA

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development & Sales Growth

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new B2B clients within Kenya’s industrial, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food processing, academic, water treatment, and chemical sectors.
  • Develop and execute territory sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Conduct market mapping and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.
  • Prepare and submit competitive tenders and proposals.

Technical Sales & Client Advisory

  • Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and consultative meetings with clients.
  • Interpret product specifications, SDS documentation, analytical data, and regulatory requirements.
  • Recommend suitable chemical products and solutions based on client needs.
  • Provide post-sales technical support and troubleshoot product application challenges.

Pipeline & Account Management

  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing and after-sales follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and pipeline reports.
  • Ensure high levels of client retention and repeat business.
  • Build long-term strategic relationships with procurement teams, plant managers, lab managers, and technical directors.

Marketing Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop technically accurate brochures, presentations, email campaigns, and digital content.
  • Participate in trade shows, industry exhibitions, and technical forums.
  • Contribute insights on local market trends and customer feedback to inform product positioning.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure all sales activities align with Kenyan regulatory requirements for chemical distribution.
  • Provide weekly and monthly sales performance reports.
  • Adhere to company policies on safety, documentation, and client engagement.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, or a closely related field from a recognized university.

Degree in Industrial Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Chemical Sciences or a closely related field

Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in Technical sales (B2B), Scientific product marketing, Chemical distribution, Industrial consulting within Kenya

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a technical field.
