The Siaya National Polytechnic (TSNP) Is A Public TVET Institution Operating Under the TVET Act No. 29 of 2013 In the State Department of Vocational and Technical Training , Ministry of Education, Kenya. It is Situated in Siaya Town along the Siaya –Rang’ala Road.
Responsibilities or duties
- Ensuring compliance with applicable electrical safety standards and regulations.
- Liaising with relevant authorities, stakeholders, contractors, and service providers on matters concerning electrical power supply.
- Maintain inventory for all tools, machines and equipment's in the Workshop/Laboratory.
- Preparing preventive maintenance schedules of the items.
- Ensuring compliance with both Statutory and Polytechnic's safety protocol regarding operation of Workshops/Laboratory.
- Supporting the smooth running of the Department Workshop/Laboratory.
- Working hand in hand with the workshop practice trainers when preparing materials for practical lessons.
- Maintaining work area, tools/machines/equipment cleaners and proper operations.
- Coordinating the planning, implementation, and monitoring of electrical power supply projects and activities within the Institution
Qualifications or requirements
- Craft Certificate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or Electrical Operator level 5.
- One who is reliable and of high integrity.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
