Description
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing fibre optic projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
Lead project execution and coordination across various teams.
Monitor project progress and manage risks,
Manage stakeholder communication.
Develop project plans by integrating and documenting project deliverables, acceptance criteria, processes, procedures, risks, and tasks to facilitate project execution, controlling and closing processes.
Utilizes tools and metrics to track and improve project performance - MS Project, PWA, SharePoint, Project Initiation Documents (Statement of works, Governance Structure, Communication plan, Risk Management Plan.
Contribute to PMO maturity and governance evolution. Enforces quality gates during the implementation of projects. This will involve stakeholder engagement and a communication management tool through the project life cycle until closure.
Works efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines.
Influence senior stakeholders to champion project outcomes. Effective risks & issues management.
Implements changes to triple constraints in line with the defined change management process.
Ensures timely material Utilization & receipting for all assigned projects.
Produces clear status reports, communicates candidly and tactfully, makes others aware of any issues with the project and is a generous listener.
Contribute to the project management knowledge base by sharing lessons learned, best practices, research, appropriately to improve the quality of project management services, build the capabilities of colleagues and advance the profession.
Drive strategic alignment across programs.
Facilitate cooperation within teams and stakeholders to realize shared goals by encouraging collaborative problem solving, open communication and teamwork.
Supervise and motivate assigned project resources.
Contribute to PMO maturity and governance evolution
Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of optical fiber network construction projects (FTTH, FTTx, Backbone, etc.)
Develop construction schedules, resource allocation plans, and cost estimates.
Ensure compliance with all project requirements, safety regulations, and technical standards.
Lead in-house and subcontractor teams during civil works, cable laying, splicing, and testing.
Monitor contractor performance and enforce quality control and safety compliance.
Conduct site inspections, supervise construction progress, and resolve field issues promptly.
Ensure proper use of construction materials and adherence to design specifications.
Coordinate with local authorities, utilities, and other stakeholders for permits and approvals.
Provide regular progress updates and reports to internal and external stakeholders.
Oversee testing and commissioning activities, ensuring network reliability and performance.
Enforce adherence to industry standards and company policies.
Ensure safety and safe working condition are adhered to strictly on any site under construction
Interface strongly with OHS and Quality Control teams for first time deliveries.
Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
FTTX PLANNER JD
As Designer and Planner for the FTTX project, will include, but are not limited to:
Designing and planning phases of the FTTX project, ensuring the successful deployment of fiber optic networks to designated areas.
Overseeing the creation of detailed design documentation, technical specifications and construction plans for all aspects of the FTTX network.
Managing design, planning and execution to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of project milestones.
Ensuring compliance with local, regional and national regulations, as well as industry best standards, in all design and planning activities.
Identifying and managing project risks and proposing solutions to mitigate potential delays or issues.
Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders and external vendors to ensure smooth project execution
