Job Purpose:

To provide specialized nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and sterile environment in the operating theatre.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating theatre for surgery, ensuring all equipment and supplies are sterile and ready.
• Assist the surgical team by acting as a scrub or circulating nurse.
• Monitor the patient's condition throughout the procedure.
• Handle and account for surgical instruments, swabs, and specimens.
• Provide post-operative care in the recovery room, monitoring vital signs and managing pain.
• Ensure strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Participate in the cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of theatre equipment.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

Diploma or Degree in Nursing (KRCHN) with a specialization in Perioperative/Theater Nursing.

Licensing:

Must be registered and hold a valid practicing license.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a theater nurse.
