Westlands Specialist Hospital (WSH), a Level 4 premium facility in Nairobi

Technical Setup: Install and configure lighting, sound, rigging, and set equipment before a show. Equipment Operation: Operate light boards, followspots, sound mixing consoles, and other technical equipment during performances. Set Construction & Maintenance: Build, maintain, and repair scenery, props, and stage equipment. Technical Support: Provide support for technical needs during rehearsals, performances, and special events. Safety & Maintenance: Adhere to safety regulations, perform maintenance, and ensure equipment is in working order. Technical Collaboration: Work with directors, designers, and other production team members to bring the artistic vision to life. Problem-Solving: Quickly identify and resolve technical issues that arise during a live show. Special Effects: Operate and maintain equipment for special effects like fog, haze, or other illusions.

Technical Expertise: Proficiency with lighting systems (e.g., ETC, Allen and Heath), sound equipment, rigging, and carpentry. Physical Stamina: The ability to lift heavy equipment and handle the physically demanding nature of stage work. Communication: Clear and effective communication is essential for coordinating with the production team. Teamwork: The ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of artists and technicians. Problem-Solving: Quick and decisive thinking to address unexpected technical challenges. Organizational Skills: Managing equipment, inventory, and maintenance logs effectively. Attention to Detail: Ensuring that all technical elements are precise and contribute to the overall production quality. Adaptability: A willingness to work under pressure in dynamic live performance environments, including long hours and varied schedules.
