Tour Plan ERP Implementation Lead
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
We are a globally recognized, multi-award-winning luxury safari operator with over six decades of excellence, a ten-time World’s Best Safari Outfitter and Hall of Fame honoree, Celebrated for unparalleled service, bespoke experiences, and a long-standing commitment to community impact.As part of our continued strategic growth, we are implementing a new Tour Plan ERP system to enhance operational efficiency, financial control, and reporting. We therefore seek a hands-on Implementation Lead with proven Tour Plan experience to manage and coordinate the rollout of the system across the business.
This role is suited to a practical, detail-oriented professional who has previously participated in or led a Tour Plan implementation within a DMC or tour operator environment.
Reporting to the COO and working closely with Operations, Finance, Reservations, and IT, the successful candidate will coordinate implementation activities, support system configuration, oversee testing and data migration, and ensure smooth user adoption.
This is a long-term role with ongoing responsibility for system optimization and support after go-live.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of the Tour Plan ERP system from planning through go-live and stabilization
- Work with departments to gather and document business requirements
- Coordinate system configuration in collaboration with the software vendor and internal IT
- Manage structured User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes
- Oversee data cleansing, validation, and migration
- Ensure integration alignment with finance, reservation and operational workflows
- Develop and deliver user training across departments
- Support change management and drive system adoption
- Monitor system performance post go-live and recommend enhancements
- Act as the internal subject matter expert for Tour Plan
Required Experience
The successful candidate must have hands-on experience implementing Tour Plan from the ground up within a DMC or tour operator environment. They should demonstrate a solid working knowledge of tour costing and margin management, contracting and supplier processes, reservations workflows, and invoicing with financial reconciliation. Practical exposure to data migration and system configuration is essential, along with the ability to coordinate cross functional teams and manage structured implementation timelines. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving capability are critical for success in this role.Confident communicator able to work across operational and finance teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Information Systems, Tourism Management, or a related field
- Minimum 5–8 years’ professional experience within a DMC, tour operator, or travel technology environment
- Demonstrated involvement in enterprise system implementation, process improvement, or operational systems management
