Background

P.C. Kinyanjui Technical Training Institute started in 1979 as a Technical Secondary School with a population of 160 students. The vision to establish the Technical School was borne by His Excellency, the late Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, the First President of the Republic of Kenya. The elders donated pieces of land that were consolidated in 1958 as trust land and reserved for future development of Kinyanjui Memorial High School in honour of the late Paramount Chief Kinyanjui wa Gathirimu who reigned between 1893 − 1929 in the region in which we are.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and deliver training sessions in French for Level 5 & 6 trainees.
  • Develop training materials, lesson plans and assessment tools in line with TVET curriculum requirements.
  • Assess, evaluate, and monitor trainees' academic performance and progress.
  • Guide trainees in language proficiency, including speaking, writing, listening and reading skills.
  • Prepare trainees for internationally recognized language proficiency examinations.
  • Maintain proper training records and submit periodic reports.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and institutional academic activities.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education from a recognized institution.
  • Certification in the respective language for French DELF /DALF
  • Diploma in Technical Education (or equivalent pedagogical training)
  • Relevant teaching/training experience in a TVET institution or similar setting.
